CTOS gives a 300\u2013850 credit score based on that data and other information.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Steps to build a credit record<\/h2>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Start small.<\/strong> A low-limit credit card, phone financing, or a small loan from a licensed lender \u2014 something you\u2019re sure you can repay.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pay on time, every month.<\/strong> This matters most.
