This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected and used when you visit ringgitsihat.my (the “Site”). It is published in English and Bahasa Melayu. If the two versions differ, the English version prevails.
1. Who we are
The Site is operated by MALAYSIA HUB SIA, a company registered in the Republic of Latvia (registration number 40203615148), registered address 4a Mednieku Street, Riga, LV-1010, Latvia (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of personal data processed through the Site.
Ringgit Sihat is a Nimbura publication. MALAYSIA HUB SIA is the parent company of Nimbura Sdn. Bhd. (registration number 202001030236 (1386556-P)), a moneylender licensed by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government of Malaysia (KPKT), Licence No. WL7662/10/01-3/110127.

2. What the Site does and does not do
The Site publishes free educational content about personal finance. It does not offer loans or other financial services, does not accept loan applications and does not ask for your income, bank details, MyKad number or other financial information. Please do not send us such information.

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia), we process your personal data for the purposes above, with your consent where required. Providing data is voluntary; if you do not provide your email address, we cannot reply to you or send the newsletter.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use three categories of cookies:
- Necessary — required for the Site to work and to remember your cookie choices. Always on.
- Analytics — for example Google Analytics 4, to understand how the Site is used. Only with your consent.
- Advertising — for example Google Ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel and [OpenAI Ads pixel], to measure our advertising and to build audiences so that we and companies in our group, including Nimbura Sdn. Bhd., can show you relevant ads on those platforms. Only with your consent.
You can change your choices at any time through “Cookie settings” in the Site footer. Amounts or other information you type into the Site are not sent to advertising tags.
6. Who we share data with
- Service providers acting on our instructions: hosting, content management, email and newsletter delivery, spam protection, analytics ([list providers]).
- Advertising platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok, [OpenAI]) when you consent to advertising cookies. These platforms may process data as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.
- Nimbura Sdn. Bhd., our subsidiary, which may use advertising audiences built on the Site to show you ads for its services on advertising platforms, only if you consent to advertising cookies. [Role: independent controller / joint controller — to confirm.]

We do not sell your personal data.
7. International transfers
Your data may be processed in the European Union, Malaysia, the United States and other countries where our service providers and advertising platforms operate. When data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms such as European Commission adequacy decisions (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified) or Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing before withdrawal;
- limit the processing of your data (Malaysia).
To use your rights, email [[email protected]]. We reply within one month (GDPR) and within 21 days for access and correction requests under the PDPA. We may ask you to confirm your identity.
You may also complain to a supervisory authority: in Latvia, the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija); in Malaysia, the Personal Data Protection Commissioner (Jabatan Perlindungan Data Peribadi); or the authority in your EU country of residence.
10. Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and backups. No online service can be completely secure.
12. Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites, including official sources and nimbura.my. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, show a notice on the Site.
